Reviews
Awesome little restaurant in Old City. Staff (Mark and Katie) were great with recommendations for someone visiting from out of town and very friendly. Atmosphere is laid back and has a warm ambiance. Veal dumplings were bomb!
Cozy atmosphere and delicious food served in generous portions. Lovely people here as well. The perfect low-key lunch spot! I got the chicken sandwich which was juicy and perfectly charred, came with sweet potato fries that my friends and I devoured. My friends all enjoyed their meals as well, can’t go wrong with any choice here!
I’m not one to ever write a review, but the food was Horrific!!! Now I order take out so idk if that’s why because looking at the reviews of people who ate in it looked completely different but my take out food was for the garbage. The Nachos were little chips and melted cheese over top that they put in the microwave and BURNED!!!! They have pictures of nachos that look completely DIFFERENT on the site but when you get them it looks like a 5 year made a snack for themselves. Burger looks like a cardboard paint brown and chicken sandwich should be fed to the rodents in the street! Fries super small portion… more salt on fries than there is fries! OVERALL 4/10 and personally I will NEVER order from this place again. I hope everyone else as an amazing experience!
We stopped into Race Street Cafe for a spur-of-the-moment brunch. Unfortunately, we were too early to try one of the specials I saw on the board which was a take of a fancy grilled cheese. They said the specials weren’t made until 3 pm. I settled for the Race Street Burger. I asked for it medium and it came out essentially just well done. It still tasted okay but not my favorite. The fries tasted good but the portion seemed a bit less than typical in this type of dish. My girlfriend really enjoyed her order of The Hangover. The croissant was baked well and the tater tots were nice and crunchy.
The location itself gave off a friendly sports pub/tavern feel. The staff was very welcoming.
Went for lunch today (Sat) and it was just okay. We got the calamari appetizer, and it was lackluster and small for the price ($15). The pieces were very thin and pretty rubbery. The batter was salty, but I liked it that way. I wouldn’t order it again. I got the tortellini and it was alright, the garlic bread was better than the pasta. My boyfriend got the burger special. The sausage wasn’t really incorporated well and was just kinda chunky. It was decent just for a quick bite, but I wouldn’t return.
The burger with avocado and bacon added is one of the best burgers I've ever had, and fries were super crispy and good. Clear that high quality ingredients were used, and the staff was super friendly, will definitely come back when I visit Philly again.
Low key cozy atmosphere on a Sunday night. Appearance resembles a bar, but wasn’t rowdy or loud. We were totally comfortable eating with our underage teen about 8pm. Staff was friendly but not intrusive. Food was great. We were able to order 3 different vegetarian meals for the 3 of us and everyone was happy. I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up there again before we leave town.
Came to visit the area from DC & they came highly recommended! They didn't disappoint either. Great service & delicious food. The Brisket Sandwich & the Tot combo was delightful! They also had a Pumpkin Tiramisu that was the best Tiramisu I had ever tasted! If youre visiting Philly give the cheesesteaks a break & check this spot out!
